Logistics and Program/Project Management

GLS manages large-scale logistics programs for the US military and foreign military sales (FMS) programs. Following guidance from the Project Management Institute’s (PMI’s) project management body of knowledge (PMBOK), GLS creates integrated logistics master project schedules and uses automated systems to get vehicles and supplies to end-users while reducing overhead costs and delivering goods faster. By maintaining positive relationships with ISO-compliant suppliers worldwide, GLS is able to ensure that required goods are developed to the client’s specifications and that all goods are inspected for quality prior to shipping. 

 

When products are finished, GLS determines the most effective means of shipping so that they are delivered on or before the date specified by our clients. GLS employees implement effective communications plans so that clients remain informed of delivery status until the goods arrive. Simplifying communication and services between multiple departments helps create a workflow blueprint that reduces costs by increasing visibility and improving the overall understanding of our clients’ needs. Cost savings is realized by reducing warehousing costs and purchasing based on supply forecasts, better inventory management, reliable shipping and timely delivery to the end-user.
